The engineering detail for Takumi Voice lives in what leaves your machine. This page is the formal version.
What we collect
- Account data: the email address you paid with, and your licence.
- Device records: an installation identifier you generate, platform, app version, last-seen time.
- Usage counts: words and audio duration, per day and per week. Counts only.
- Vocabulary and snippets: only what you add yourself.
- Content in transit: your recording, the transcript, and the context you're dictating into — processed to produce your text, and not retained afterwards.
What we don't collect
No analytics, telemetry, session recording or crash reporting. No third-party scripts, tracking pixels or advertising identifiers on this site. No tracking cookies, which is why there's no cookie banner.
Processors
- Cloudflare — hosting, database and storage.
- Groq — speech transcription.
- OpenRouter — transcript cleanup.
- Creem — payments, as merchant of record. We never see your card details.
We don't permit these processors to train models on your content, and we don't train on it ourselves.
Takumi is an independent product. We aren't affiliated with or endorsed by these providers, and we don't resell their models — they're integrations behind a product of our own. Which models run is our decision and can change without an app release.
Legal basis and retention
We process account, device and usage data to perform the contract you entered into, and keep it for as long as your account exists. Recordings and transcripts are processed only to produce your text and are not retained.
Your rights
You can ask for access, correction, export or deletion of your data. Write to support@takumi.software from the address on your licence and we'll do it within 30 days. Deleting your account removes the account, the licence, the device records, the vocabulary and the counts.
Children
Takumi isn't directed at children under 16, and we don't knowingly collect their data.
