What leaves your machine
Bounded and nameable, not local
Takumi Voice is a network product. Every dictation is an upload. We'd rather say that plainly than dress it up.
Every destination
The app talks to exactly one host: api.takumi.software. From there the audio goes to
Groq for transcription and the transcript goes to OpenRouter for cleanup. There's no fourth
destination, no analytics endpoint and no crash reporter.
What gets sent, and when
- The recording, once, when you release the key.
- Context: the name of the app you're dictating into, its window title, and any text you had selected — that's what makes the formatting fit. Select nothing and nothing of your document gets sent.
- Your vocabulary and snippets, so spellings can be applied.
What gets stored

What we don't do
- No analytics, no telemetry, no session recording, no crash reporting.
- No third-party scripts on this site. No cookie banner, because there are no tracking cookies to consent to.
- No training on your speech or your text, by us or on our behalf.
- No selling or sharing of anything, to anyone.
Deleting it
Email support@takumi.software from the address on your licence and we delete the account, the licence, the device records, the vocabulary and the counts. There are no transcripts to delete, because we don't have any.
The gap we're not papering over
There's currently no way to keep your speech on your machine. If your employer or your subject matter forbids uploading speech, this product can't serve you today. Local transcription is planned, and deliberately has no promised date: it earns its way back when it can ship working, without asking you to compile anything.
