Terms of service

Who you're dealing with
Takumi builds and operates Takumi Voice and the takumi.software website. Payments, invoicing and sales tax are handled by Creem as merchant of record; your purchase contract for the payment itself is with them, and their terms apply to that transaction.
Your licence
A paid subscription grants you a personal, non-exclusive, non-transferable right to use Takumi Voice on up to three machines you control, for as long as the subscription is paid. You may not resell, sublicense or share your licence key.
The free plan is offered on the same terms, with the usage limit described on the pricing page.
Acceptable use
You agree not to:
- use the service to transcribe recordings you have no right to process;
- resell or proxy the transcription and cleanup capacity as your own service;
- attempt to circumvent plan limits, or share one licence across an organisation;
- use the service to produce unlawful, harmful or sexually explicit content, or content that breaches the rights of others.
“Fair use” on the paid plan means ordinary human dictation. If usage is far outside that, we'll contact you before doing anything about it.
Availability
We don't promise an uptime figure we haven't measured. The service depends on third parties (Groq, OpenRouter, Cloudflare, Creem) and can be interrupted. If we have an extended outage that materially deprives you of the service, email us and we'll make it right on the bill.
Changes
We may change features, models and prices. Price changes never apply to a period you've already paid for, and we'll tell subscribers by email before a renewal at a new price.
Cancellation and termination
You can cancel any time from your account page. Access continues to the end of the paid period. We may suspend an account that breaches these terms, and we'll say why.
Warranty and liability
The software is provided “as is”. To the extent the law allows, our total liability for any claim is limited to what you paid us in the twelve months before it arose. Nothing here limits liability that cannot lawfully be limited, and if you're a consumer, your statutory rights are unaffected.
